Innovation in Curriculum & Instruction (ICI)

Center for Education Innovation Blog

Purpose

We invite students in the Graduate School of Education Department at Fordham University’s Innovation for Curriculum and Instruction program to partner with us in the work of education innovation by sharing their research, collaborating with others, and exploring resources to advance their work. In short, visitors to the ICI Blog will Investigate ideas that could spark change in education, Collaborate with others to share and expand on those ideas, and Implement ideas that would Innovate education for all.

“Innovation is a way of thinking that creates something new and better…. It is a way of considering concepts, processes, and potential outcomes; it is not a thing, task, or even technology…(Couros, 27).

This inaugural blog features the work of Fall 2020 doctoral students in the Innovation in Curriculum and Instruction program at Fordham University, who have engaged in their own cycle of innovation on varied topics that interrogate ideas of innovation and technology and how these ideas can be applied to education. Our work on innovation is inspired by Dr. John A. Craven’s Fall 2020 course, “Innovative Educators.”
