How can educators innovate reading for students with learning disabilities?

Teachers use many different resources in literacy to assist  their students learn the different skills they need to learn. There are so many different skills teachers would have to teach to their students that might be daunting to some students, especially the students with some sort of learning disability. These resources are innovated tools to assist students to learn the skills they need to know to be a successful learner.

Bookshare: Online ebook library made accessible for people with print disabilities. People who deals with visual impairment, severe dyslexia, cerebral palsy.

EPIC: Library where students and teachers go on the website for books. During remote learning teacher can go on this website and create an account. After creating an you can go book shopping for your students. After creating your classroom with all your students names, you can assign books to your students.Books can be level books and books you know they would be interested in. This is a wonderful tool for students and teachers can assign books for social studies on Africa if your in third grade.(or just interested in learning about that country)

Flyleaf: Emergent Reader Series and decoding literature library for beginning and struggling readers. This gives the readers  a massive opportunities to transfer their newly acquired phonics  knowledge.

LOOP: Website where you can record a reading lesson that includes sharing a powerpoint of reading materials and after students can give an emoji on their understanding. They can, in return create a video with parents assistance, and talk it out with the teacher about where exactly they need further explanation on the topic.

Reading A-Z: E-library where as teachers, if you are conducting a live read aloud ( or recorded) during a large or small group, you can share the book and  read or if you are doing a remote assessment you can use these books. This is also a great sight for the students can log on and read the book they are assigned to read by level.This is a wonderful tool for the teacher and the students. This website also help EL/ESL students with their reading. Another connection the teachers can advocate for you school administration to purchase would be RAZ KIDS. This is a wonderful attachment to Reading A-Z. This would be great for the early childhood branch of students. Another attachment that would be wonderful for schools to invest int would be Vocabulary A-Z. These are all worth wild program to assist all students.

Rivit: Reading application with leveled books that assist students practice their skills.

SPIRE: Multi-sensory intervention reading program. It’s an innovative tool that offers a print and digital format. This provide students with information they need to succeed.
